The 4PP035.0300-K07 is a compact operator panel and controller produced by B&R Automation within the 4PP Power Panels series. As an HMI with integrated I/O and processor resources, it provides local control and visualization for small-to-medium machines in industrial automation lines. Operators use the built-in LCD to issue commands while the internal electronics route signals to field devices, allowing the panel to replace a separate PLC and display in space-constrained enclosures.

Control circuitry inside the unit is powered from a regulated 24 VDC supply, simplifying wiring with common control power buses. Four differential channels accept process feedback across 4 analog inputs; each channel tolerates a full span of ±10 V, so standard transducers or potentiometers can be connected without signal conditioning. Eight opto-isolated lines accept binary states, and the array of 8 digital inputs allows discrete sensors such as proximity switches to be read directly. The unit also provides four analog outputs for valves or speed references, while eight transistor outputs sink loads up to 0.5 A per point, enabling solenoids or indicator lamps to be switched under program control.

Output status and parameter values are presented on the monochrome LCD at a native resolution of 160 x 80 pixels. Despite the small diagonal of 3 in, the screen provides clear text pages and simple graphics for setup or fault review. Application code, recipes, and trend data reside in a nonvolatile pool of 1024 kB FlashPROM, while 300 kB SRAM buffers variables and maintains real-time exchange between the CPU and connected modules. These memory resources, together with the panel’s mixed analog and digital I/O, allow machine programs to manage local sequences, log critical events, and handle operator dialogs without relying on an external controller.
