B&R Automation produces the 4PP035.0300-36 as part of its 4PP Power Panels series. This compact panel merges controller, visualization, and field-level interfaces in one enclosure, so users can supervise motion, temperature, or pressure loops from a single point. Installed on a cabinet door or directly on equipment, it runs application code, refreshes the graphical screen, and drives onboard transistors. Because control and display tasks are combined, the panel fits installations where cabinet space is limited. That allows it to serve as both an HMI and a PLC in space-restricted industrial machines.

The unit is powered from a single 24 VDC source and executes Boolean instructions every 0.8 µs, giving it the response time needed for tight sequencing. Four differential analog inputs and four voltage-mapped analog outputs share one converter that samples each channel in 150 µs; the ±10 V range is paired with a 20 MΩ input impedance to avoid loading sensors. Eight sink-type digital inputs and eight sourcing transistor outputs provide direct wiring for limit switches or valves. Operators view process data on a monochrome screen with a resolution of 160 × 80 pixels. The aluminum front panel is sealed to IP65 (Front), allowing washdown cleaning while rear connections remain inside the protected cabinet.

User program retention relies on 300 kB SRAM backed by FlashPROM, so recipes or counters persist through power cycles without external storage. For host integration, the RS-232 port streams diagnostics at up to 115.2 kbit/s, and a CAN interface exchanges process data with drives or remote I/O at up to 500 kbit/s. High-resolution measurement is supported by a per-sample depth of 12-bit, which yields 4096 discrete steps for capturing small signal changes. The available ports let the panel exchange status data with external controllers and distributed devices during operation.
