The 4PP035.0300-01 is a panel-mounted operator terminal produced by B&R Automation within the 4PP Power Panels series. The device combines a black-and-white LCD, a sealed keypad, and embedded control hardware so it can serve as both an HMI and a logic controller in compact machines. By combining visualization with direct field wiring, it reduces cabinet space and lets users supervise and adjust process variables from a single front panel. That arrangement is useful in compact equipment where local control and display functions need to stay close to the machine.

Sixteen input lines accept sensors and switches, and 16 digital input channels are processed with a 0.8 µs instruction cycle time, allowing rapid reaction to state changes. Commands are drawn from program memory and shown at 160 × 80 pixels on the monochrome display while transistor drivers switch field devices. The bezel provides IP65 front protection, so dust and low-pressure water jets do not affect operation at the front of the panel. All electronics operate from a nominal 24 VDC supply voltage, while FlashPROM provides 1024 kB for application code and 300 kB of SRAM stores variables during runtime.

Actuator control is handled through 16 digital output channels, and the panel's thermal design keeps power draw within a maximum power consumption of 6 W. High-level communication is available through a CAN interface with a CAN transfer rate of 500 kbit/s, and parameter blocks or diagnostic data can be exchanged over the serial port at an RS-232 transfer rate of 115.2 kbit/s. A three-inch screen gives operators clear status feedback during routine use, and the keypad supports direct acknowledgment of messages and simple menu navigation. Nonvolatile and volatile memory support fast cycle execution without relying on external storage.
