The 4PP015.E420-101 operator panel comes from B & R Automation and belongs to the 4PP Power Panels series. It combines a programmable controller, a monochrome LCD, and a sealed keypad in one enclosure, so a machine can use one front-mounted unit for visualization and basic control tasks. This integrated layout reduces panel cutouts and keeps local operation close to the control hardware. The sealed keypad also allows routine commands and menu navigation without adding separate door-mounted pushbuttons for basic interaction.

The built-in CAN interface reaches a throughput of 500 kbit/s, allowing deterministic exchanges with distributed I/O or drives. For direct connection to field sensors, the panel furnishes 16 digital inputs and a matching set of outputs for switching 24 VDC loads. Machine prompts and status lines appear on the LCD at a resolution of 4 × 20 characters, and the surface keypad offers 26 tactile keys for operator commands.
