Product Description:
The 4PP015.C420-36 is an operator interface panel from B & R Automation’s 4PP Power Panels series. It combines control processing with text-based visualization, so one module can run application code, exchange signals with connected devices, and present operating messages on its front LCD. In compact machines, this arrangement reduces the need for separate control and display hardware, keeps panel layouts simple, and gives operators a direct view of machine status and stored data.
A task execution interval of 0.8 µs allows the integrated CPU to react quickly while handling the unit’s digital and analog I/O. The controller is powered from a nominal 24 VDC source, making it suitable for standard industrial control supplies. For fieldbus connectivity, the CAN interface reaches 500 kbit/s, while a separate RS-232 channel transfers diagnostic data at 115.2 kbit/s. Operators read process values on a monochrome LCD with 4 × 20 characters, and the panel also includes eight digital inputs, eight digital outputs, four differential analog inputs, and four analog outputs for sensor and actuator interfacing. A 26-key membrane keyboard supports direct parameter entry, and the panel supports both English and Cyrillic character sets for multilingual text display.
The front bezel carries a IP65 rating, protecting the keypad and screen against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets. Mechanical integration is aided by a housing that measures 153 × 120 × 46.1 mm, which supports flush mounting in shallow enclosures and tight control cabinets. Signal quality on low-level channels is supported by the isolated design of the 4 differential analog inputs, and application code plus recipes are stored in a non-volatile 1024 kB FlashPROM. A separate 300 kB SRAM region retains variables during power cycles, allowing the panel to restart with previously stored operating data.
