The 4pp015.420-01 is a power panel designed by B & R automation to provide industrial engineers and other relevant personnel with an easy and efficient way to carry out the automation of small to mid-sized machines used in automation systems. This power panel has a unique design that combines the functionality of conventional visualization panels and industrial controllers in a single unit. The front panel of this panel features a 5.7-inch Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) that operates at a resolution of 160 x 80 pixels and can show 4 x 20 characters. The character set of this unit is in English/Katakana. Command instructions can be communicated through the keys present on the front panel. There are a total of 16 keys present on this unit; the unit also contains about 10 insert strips. There are no analogue input/output interfaces on this product; however, it contains about 16 digital inputs and output interfaces for easy connection to required peripheral devices.
The 4pp015.420-01 has a flashPROM capacity of about 1 megabyte; it also features a 300 kilobyte SROM. The display unit of this power panel features a background lightning that makes operation in a poorly lit environment possible. The design of the front panel of this unit provides reliable protection according to IP65; however, the back panel meets IP20 and requires additional protection against dust, liquids and any other solid that has an external diameter larger than 12 millimeters.
