Product Description
The EL7221-9014 is a servomotor EtherCAT terminal. This model is designed to work with existing EtherCAT based control systems. You can easily communicate, configure, and operate the EL7221-9014 through a standard or industrial personal computer over EtherCAT. This servomotor terminal is designed to work with AM8100 series motors. In its standard configuration, the EL7221-9014 can supply up to 7 amperes of current. However, its load-carrying capacity or maximum achievable output current can be increased to 8 amperes with ZB8610. This servomotor controller offers a variety of safety options including; Safe Stop 1 and Safe Torque Off. For safe torque off implementation (STO), a hard-wired arrangement is used.
The BECKHOFF EL7221-9014 supports OCT (One Cable Technology) cables and offers robust servo performance. This EtherCAT enabled terminal features two inputs for end position and 1 input for each motor feedback and STO. It also has a dedicated DC output for the motor brake. This servomotor terminal can be operated over an input voltage range of 8 to 48 VDC. With this motor controller, commissioning and configuration remain straightforward as it can read the electronic type plate of the associate motor and consequently configures the motor parameters without any human intervention.
The EL7221-9014 can also be incorporated in various types of industrial control systems including PLC and DCS. Moreover, it can also be controlled remotely. The output for the motor brake can supply a maximum current of 0.5 amperes at 24 VDC. This device offers direct connectivity for motor feedbacks. The EL7221-9014 is a compact drive and it is considered as an ideal solution for the controlling of permanent magnet excited, synchronous three-phase motors. This servomotor terminal enables you to set custom alarms on various parameters. This product can be purchased from Wake Industrial with a one-year warranty period.
