The CX8090 is a control system manufactured by Beckhoff. It supports a wide array of protocols among them ADS UDP/TCP, real-time Ethernet, open TCP/IP-UDP/IP communication, and others. Like other CX embedded PCs, it automatically recognizes the I/O system connected during operation. The TwinCAT runtime environment programs the control system through the fieldbus interface or additional Ethernet. It features components such as power contacts, coupler supply, E-bus/K-bus interface, Ethernet ports, status LEDs, and address selector, among others. It should be operated by an expert in drive technology to avoid misuse. It can be purchased from Wake Industrial with a one-year warranty.

The CX8090 comes with web visualization, online change, web-based management, and up/download code. It has an ARM9, 400MHz processor, 512MB microSD flash memory, and 64MB DDR2 RAM. Interfaces found on this embedded PC include fieldbus interface, USB, and RJ45. The ambient conditions are operating and storage temperature of 0 to 55 degrees and -25 to 85 degrees respectively and relative humidity of 95% without condensation. It has an IP 20 protection class, CE, UL, IECEx approvals and markings, and EMC emission that conforms to EN 61000-6-2.
