The CX5140-0161 is an embedded PC that is frequently used in plant engineering and machine building applications. Due to its lightweight (only 960 g), it is portable and easy to install. For a long life in harsh environmental conditions, the system comes with an IP 20 standard protection. Additional interfacing options are provided for enhanced connectivity including two RJ 45 ports, two USB ports, and a single DVI-I port. The embedded PC comes with approvals from ATEX, CE, and UL.  A strong built allows the CX5140-0161 to work smoothly in extreme temperature conditions. The system can give an unhindered performance in -20 ᵒC to 60 ᵒC temperature range. Furthermore, there is no issue when the device is operated in conditions with up to 85 % relative humidity.

The CX5140-0161 consumes 16 W power and operates on 24 VDC supply. A dedicated UPS unit has been provided that ensures uninterrupted operation. The maximum power consumption is 24 W if the UPS is used. A powerful Intel Atom processor has been provided in this embedded PC. With a 1.91 GHz clock speed and four cores, the processor ensures fast-paced multitasking operations. The system has a compact design because there is no requirement of a fan for heat dissipation. The CX5140-0161 has a 142 mm width, 100 mm height, and a 92 mm depth. The PC’s vibration and shock resistance is in accordance with the EN standards.
