The CX5100 product line is one of the more popular Beckhoff series’ showcasing a comprehensive suite of automated PLC solutions, mainly PCs, Fieldbus components, and flash memory. The CX5130 series features modern-day PCs with multi-core processors, high-storage RAM, Gigabit-enabled Ethernet interfaces and more.

The CX5130-0140 is known for its light weight, low energy consumption, high-speed processing, and ability to control motion and logic operations. The CX5130-0140 industrial PC has a 1.75 GHz Intel Atom® dual-core processor. It utilizes the Microsoft Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSB 32 Bit operating system according to the latest connectivity requirements. When it comes to control software, this particular PC model has none. However, all the CX5130 systems support TwinCAT 2 PLC runtime as well as TwinCAT 3 PLC runtime (XAR) software, so the software can be bought and installed separately in order to utilize it on PLC or PLC/Motion control projects. Moreover, the PC features multiple available interfaces, including a DVI-I interface, 2 Ethernet Interfaces, 4 USB 2.0 interfaces and one optional interface for additional connectivity.

The optional interface supports K-bus and E-bus I/O connections. The CX5130-0140 PC requires just 24 V DC power supply to operate. Its maximum power consumption is just 14 watts (without loading UPS, with UPS: 20 W). The PC is 144mm wide, 100mm high and 92mm deep, and can operate under temperatures ranging from -25 to +60 degrees Celsius (storage: -40 to +85 degrees Celsius). The CX5130-0140 PC meets the latest standards of CE, UL, ATEX and IECEx, and its housing has IP20 class protection.
