The CX5120-0150 is an embedded PC manufactured by Beckhoff. Two key characteristics of the computer is that it has a fanless design and low power consumption. The CX5120-0150 belongs to the Beckhoff CX5120 series which in turn belongs to the Beckhoff CX5100 series of embedded computers. Beckhoff embedded PCs in this series are deployed in implementing programing logic controllers or Motion Control projects without or with visualization. Note that with a Beckhoff CX5120 embedded PC, it’s possible to execute Motion Control applications with interpolating axis movements.
The Beckhoff CX5120-0150 features an E-bus or a K-bus Input Output connection and can automatically recognize the type of Input Output connection. The K-bus I/O connection is a communication system meant to connect a slave or remote devices to a master control unit. E-bus, on the other hand, allows the usage of a programmable logic control for high-speed applications. The CX5120-0150 has a maximum power consumption of 11 Watts and 18 Watts when interfaced with loading UPS. For the voltage rating, the computer has a rated nominal operating voltage of 24 Volts DC.
