Product Description

The CX5120-0112 is an advanced Industrial computer with a basic CPU module. It is one of the best products from Beckhoff. It operates with Microsoft Windows Embedded Compact 7 (WEC7) which makes it very compatible with several industrial and electronic devices like GPS systems and digital cameras. The WEC7 also accepts gestures and touch as input methods. It operates with The Windows Control and Automation Technology 2 (TwinCAT2) control software with NC point to point runtime. The NC PTP is responsible for prompt exchange of data within the system. It is highly resistant to shock and vibration and operates in accordance with EN 60068-2-27.

Present on the left part of its case is a name plate which contains all the basic instructions and information of the CX5120-0112. 24V power is supplied to its bus terminals through the spring-loaded power contact. It has two independent RJ45 Ethernet interfaces with an integrated switch. The two Ethernets have separate configurations and they work with EtherCAT communication. It should be noted that additional switch is needed to operate the RJ45 Ethernet. An advanced DVI-I interface is available, can produce quality high definition video of 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. It operates with a maximum power consumption of 18W and 24V direct current power supply. The CX5120-0112 was designed with an internal battery backup for displaying date and time.

The CX5120-0112 doesn’t consume much power which makes it compatible with many devices. It has 2GB DDR3 Random Access Memory (RAM) with 240pins which is not expandable. The clock rate of its Graphic Processing unit is 1.46 GHz and this PC is equipped with IP20 protection. The GPU size makes high graphic components run smoothly with improved framerate.
