The SCE905NN-001-01 is a single axis servo drive featuring high performance at a medium power. This drive is engineered to be paired with brushless 3-phase permanent magnet motors. This servo drive has a similar interface to other drives in the series. Not only are the power electronics compatible with both U.S. 480 VAC lines and European 400 VAC mains, the servo drive includes a myriad of useful features that are beneficial to the operator. For example, the SCE905NN-001-01 contains an entirely digital DSP-based control and digital auto-tuning. The servo drive’s DSP-based control is accompanied by current loops and the drive is simple and practical to set-up.

The drive’s software is available with pre-installed parameters. Moreover, a Digital Resolver to Digital Converter is installed within the servo drive. This converter supports a 24-bit position resolution. The SCE905NN-001-01 also contains an Advanced Signature Series with sinusoidal current control. This control allows for low shaft torque ripple in addition to uniform control dynamics, both occurring at a wide range of speeds. Additionally, this servo drive is modularly constructed and is delivered with a removable option card. This option card allows the user to easily configure the drive.

With regard to option cards, these cards are useful in that they increase the functionality of the SCE905NN-001-01. Option cards also enable the operator to modify the servo drive to different parameters. The unit is delivered unconfigured. In order to configure the SCE905NN-001-01, the preferred parameters must be set. Such parameter settings can be housed within the servo drive’s memory system or can be set using an option card. The memory of the servo drive is able to support at least 100,000 different parameter settings.
