Product Description:

The EM-D-30 is an amplifier board manufactured by Vickers for the Vickers Amplifier Boards series. Installed between a motion controller and a proportional valve, it converts low-level reference voltages into stable coil current so hydraulic actuators follow setpoints accurately in industrial automation. The 127.0 mm card length fits standard eurocard racks, streamlining cabinet layouts for multi-axis machines.

At the input stage the board tolerates a ceiling of 10 V DC, allowing direct connection to typical ±10 V controllers. Under maximum gain the small-signal frequency response reaches 6 kHz, so valve spools can track rapid command changes without phase lag. The discrete power section can deliver 600 mA into a 20 Ω load, fully energizing most proportional solenoids, and its temperature coefficient is ±0.4 mA/°C, limiting drift during normal cabinet temperature swings. Additional characteristics include a supply sensitivity of ±0.001 mA/V, plus an opto-coupled alarm output that provides galvanic isolation to the supervising PLC.

The signal chain is completed by a pre-amplifier that furnishes 2 mA at 10 V DC, feeding the precision voltage amplifier. That stage can source 5 mA at 6 V DC and holds long-term accuracy with a drift of ±0.005 V DC over 24 hours. Line-voltage variations introduce only ±0.0001 V/V of error, while thermal influence is contained to ±0.0002 V/V. During warm-up the offset shifts by ±0.004 V DC and settles to a null uncertainty of ±0.1 mA, ensuring repeatable centering for closed-loop hydraulic positioning.

Same-day shipping is available for qualifying orders. Wake Industrial supplies a 1-year warranty on each unit. Quotations remain valid for 30 days, giving maintenance teams predictable budgeting.
