Product Description:
The EHA-RMP-201-A-20 is an electronic ramp-generator module manufactured by Vickers as part of the Vickers Accessories series. It conditions command signals for proportional hydraulic valves, converting abrupt voltage steps into linear ramps that limit pressure spikes and improve actuator stability within automated machinery.
Signal handling begins with a differential input that tolerates up to ±10 V, while presenting an input impedance of 100 kΩ so controller outputs remain lightly loaded. Internal consumption is capped at 6 W, letting the board share cabinets with heat-sensitive devices. The unit operates from industry-standard DC rails spanning a minimum of 18 VDC to a maximum of 36 VDC; within this window the circuitry reproduces the command on its ramp output over the same ±10 V range without distortion.
The enable interface adds safety and timing flexibility. Output is forced to zero when the terminal falls below the 3.5 V disable point, and normal service resumes once the line rises above 12 V and can reach up to 40 VDC without damage. The shaped reference can source as much as 5 mA, adequate for most valve drivers. Ramp duration is user-adjustable through the front potentiometer; it can be shortened to 50 ms for fast response or extended toward the 5 s limit for gentle starts. Continuous performance is specified between 0 °C and 50 °C, allowing installation in typical control enclosures without auxiliary climate control.
