Product Description:
The EHA-PID-201-A-10 is a DIN rail signal-conditioning accessory produced by Vickers for the Vickers Accessories series. It occupies a slot on a standard EN 50022 or EN 50035 rail and delivers regulated process signals for closed-loop control tasks in industrial automation. By translating low-level sensor data into stable reference and PID outputs, the module allows a PLC or motion controller to drive proportional valves, actuators, or similar devices with consistent accuracy. Its rail-mounted format allows the unit to fit alongside other control equipment in an electrical cabinet without requiring a dedicated rack.
All electronics are powered from a nominal 24 V DC supply, and the internal circuitry draws only 6 W, minimizing cabinet heat. A demand input channel presents an impedance of 100 kΩ, so upstream analog sources are not heavily loaded. The module accepts logic-level enable commands above 17 V and blocks action below a disable threshold of 3.5 V; these clear limits simplify interlock design. Additional analog resources include a ±10 V feedback port limited to 1 mA and separate reference outputs that can source 10 mA at either -10 V or +10 V. The sensor current input has a 100 Ω load, while a switched control line is buffered by an impedance of 10 kΩ to reduce susceptibility to electrical noise. These connections accommodate command, feedback, and control signals without placing excessive demand on connected equipment.
The feed-forward summing node presents an impedance of 6 kΩ, allowing parallel command paths without significant signal loss. Closed-loop adjustments are delivered through a PID analog output rated at ±10 V, 5 mA, providing the drive amplifier with a broad signal range while limiting output current. High-impedance voltage feedback from transducers can be read accurately through a sensor input with an impedance of 1 MΩ. The assembly carries an IP20 protection rating for installation inside a grounded control enclosure. Its enclosure prevents accidental contact with internal electrical parts while permitting the ventilation required by the low-power circuitry.
