The 02-104807 is a field-wiring adapter plate manufactured by Vickers and supplied within the Vickers Accessories series. This part mates directly with a Eurocard-style controller, allowing card signals to be routed to external devices without soldering. In production lines, it provides a serviceable connection between plug-in control modules and discrete machine sensors or actuators while allowing the terminal wiring to remain fixed. This arrangement also separates the field conductors from the controller card, reducing the need to disturb permanent wiring when accessing the control assembly.
The plated steel body is 169 mm long from the connector shoulder to the terminal strip, allowing it to fit within the depth of a standard 3U rack. At the card interface, the assembly carries a female F32 socket with 32 positions that align with the power and signal tracks of the mating board. This socket follows the DIN 41612 standard, so its insertion depth and keying match common Eurocard tolerances. Two clearance bores accept fasteners with a diameter of 4.2 mm to secure the adapter to a subpanel. The rectangular footprint is stabilized by mounting-hole centers spaced 127 mm by 40 mm. These mounting points keep the connector perpendicular to the backplane, helping prevent lateral loads on the edge contacts when the card is handled.
The full assembly, including the engaged Eurocard, measures 221 mm from the face of the terminals to the opposite edge. This overall length allows cabinet layouts to account for door clearance, wiring space, and adjacent module spacing before installation. Signal distribution is limited to the two inner rows, identified as rows b and z only, which reduces the number of unused pins and simplifies trace routing on the controller card. Field conductors connect to insulated screw terminals that accept ferruled or bare wire and can be tightened with a standard flat-blade screwdriver.
