The EEA-PAM-561-C-32 is a plug-in power amplifier card manufactured by Vickers as part of the EEA-PAM Power Amplifiers series. Installed in valve control racks, the board translates low-level command references into regulated solenoid current so proportional directional or pressure valves can follow electronic set points. By performing this current modulation inside the cabinet, the card helps automated hydraulic axes integrate with PLC voltage or current outputs.

The card is designed to run from a nominal supply of 24 VDC, and its internal circuitry is rated for up to 50 W of power dissipation under continuous operation. At the load end it can deliver a peak solenoid current of 1.8 A, while the open-loop input stage presents a current input impedance of 100 Ω or a voltage input impedance of 47 kΩ depending on which command mode is selected. Field wiring is landed on a male DIN 41612 F48 edge connector so the card can be exchanged without rewiring. The analog command channel accepts ±10 VDC and draws 10 mA, whereas a 1.4 A bias is present when the command is zero to hold the valve in its neutral region. Four adjustable ramp functions shape acceleration and deceleration, and an onboard ±10 V reference is available for local potentiometer control.

Status and feedback are handled by an alarm output with an impedance of 50 Ω and by a ramp indicator node that is buffered through 10 kΩ. For position-based valves, the card provides a dedicated LVDT excitation of +15 VDC together with a 5 mA reference current so external transducers can be powered directly. The physical envelope measures 175.24 × 100 × 128.4 mm, matching standard Euro-card guides and allowing high packing density in control cabinets.
