Product Description:
The EEA-PAM-535-C-32 is a plug-in power amplifier card manufactured by Vickers for the EEA-PAM Power Amplifiers series. It conditions command and feedback signals so proportional valves receive stable coil current within hydraulic motion loops. The card occupies a Eurocard slot with a height of 128.4 mm, a length of 175.24 mm, and a width of 40.3 mm, allowing it to sit alongside other control boards in a standardized rack.
The board accepts a nominal bus supply of 24 VDC, and at full load its internal circuitry draws up to 50 W. Separate current and voltage command channels are provided; the current input presents 100 Ω of impedance, while the voltage input presents 47 kΩ, minimizing source loading in either mode. Four command presets and four ramp generators let an operator select fixed flow or pressure profiles and apply time-controlled transitions between them. An external 5 kΩ potentiometer can be wired to vary the active preset, and the drive stage presents 50 Ω of active output resistance for predictable valve coil damping. For position transducers, the card supplies a regulated +15 VDC source at the LVDT pins.
Two reference outputs are available for external electronics: a symmetrical pair delivering -10 VDC at pin B2 and +10 VDC at pin Z2, each capable of sourcing 5 mA to drive command generators or monitors. All signals exit through a DIN 41612 F48 male edge connector, allowing the card to slide into or out of the rack without disturbing fixed wiring. Internal monitoring ensures the ramp generators and command presets interact predictably with the valve coil, while the previously stated output resistance helps limit dV/dt across inductive loads and keeps power dissipation within the 50 W ceiling.
