The EEA-PAM-525-E-32 is a plug-in power amplifier card from Vickers in the EEA-PAM Power Amplifiers series. It is intended for mounting in a standardized Eurocard rack where it modulates current to proportional hydraulic valves and forwards status signals to supervisory controls, giving machine builders a compact interface between low-level electronics and high-power electrohydraulic actuators.
The board draws a nominal supply of 24 V DC × 50 W, covering both logic and solenoid drive needs, while an auxiliary rail delivers +15 V DC for external sensors. Alarm circuitry can source up to 50 mA through a 50 Ω internal resistor so the host controller can detect fault conditions without a relay. When a command or sensor exceeds calibrated limits an out-of-range line supplies 100 mA at 24 V DC to trigger machine interlocks. The card accepts a maximum sensor current of 20 mA via a 100 Ω input so 4–20 mA transmitters can be read directly, and a voltage input up to +24 V is accepted against a 100 kΩ impedance to minimize loading. Three mode-selector positions let technicians switch among normal, ramp-test, and override functions for commissioning.
A digital enable channel operates at 24 V DC and is filtered by 2.7 kΩ input resistance, while a separate readiness input uses 47 kΩ to prevent false starts from line noise. For diagnostics, the monitor point is buffered through a 10 kΩ resistor and presented on a 2.0 mm socket so system current or valve command voltage can be viewed with a multimeter. Additional terminals provide a 50 Ω alarm return, confirm that sensor voltage never surpasses +24 V, and extend a 100 mA out-of-range sink so multiple safety devices can be wired in parallel without external splitters.
