The EEA-LIM-454-A-10 is a plug-in power-amplifier card produced by Vickers for the EEA-PAM Power Amplifiers series. Designed for rack-mount industrial controllers, the board conditions proportional valve signals and provides protected logic interfaces. In hydraulic automation systems, it translates low-level command voltages from a host PLC into the controlled coil current required by directional or pressure valves within manufacturing and test benches.

The card follows the standard Eurocard format with a height of 160 mm and a width of 100 mm, allowing it to slot directly into backplanes that use the DIN 41612 D32 connector. Power is supplied from a symmetrical rail of +/-15 VDC (+/-5%); at normal operation it draws only 50 mA, minimizing heat load on the cabinet supply. Two voltage followers buffer reference points for downstream circuits. Relay drive is available through contacts rated for a continuous 1 A, and a 2 mm test-pin pattern lets technicians access internal nodes without removing the board.

Beyond the mechanical and supply points covered above, functional resources are provided for signal limiting and machine feedback. A single inverter stage shapes the command waveform before it reaches the valve coils. Two limit comparators guard against over-range conditions, while two logic outputs deliver status flags to external controllers. For ancillary switching, the normally-open relay can interrupt up to 60 VDC at control levels drawn from the 24 VDC relay/logic bus and limited to 500 mA. Field service advantages include 8 numbered test points that correspond to the analog channels and a total mass of 0.13 kg, permitting rapid board exchange without heavy tooling during routine maintenance.
