The EEA-PAM-571-A-14 is a plug-in hydraulic valve power amplifier manufactured by Vickers for the EEA-PAM Power Amplifiers series. It converts low-level electrical commands into regulated solenoid current so proportional valves track pressure or flow instructions in automated machinery. Mounted on a DIN carrier board, the module integrates ramp generators and reference supplies that let PLCs drive hydraulic actuators while reducing shock during fast transitions.
Normal operation is based on an input of 24 V DC, and peak consumption reaches 40 W. The card derives an auxiliary rail of +15 V DC, 50 mA for external sensors. Voltage-mode set-points up to 10 V enter through a 47 kΩ path, while current-mode control runs to 20 mA with 100 Ω input impedance. A 6.8 kΩ enable line allows safety relays to remove drive instantly. Power disturbances of 4 Vp-p ripple are tolerated without output drift, and the circuit maintains 1.1 A of standing solenoid current when the command is zero.
