The Sanyo Denki Super DC Servo Motors R720-012E18 model is optimized to meet the high-performance demand of industrial applications.
It is a robustly designed motor with an IP66 sealing rating for protection against dust and powerful water jets, and the motor is well suited to harsh environmental applications. The R720-012E18 is designed for service in a wide temperature range (operating between -30 to 100°C [-22 to 212°F], with brief excursions up to 120°C [248°F] for less than 30 seconds). The motor also has a storage temperature range of -40 to 100ºC (-40 to 212ºF) with no degradation of the motor integrity. This servo motor has been optimized for use with an Automation DCS System, making it compatible and performing better with the automated control system. It is a 24V DC-rated voltage unit with a decent rated power output of 400W, and nominal speed 2500 RPM. The maximum torque of the motor is 1.2 N·m with a corresponding peak efficiency of at least 85% so that the operation cost is reduced due to a very efficient energy use.
The R720-012E18 also features a maximum current of 15 A while it is running at peak performance, signifying the machine’s ability to sustain demanding applications. With a weight of 2.5 kg (5.5 lbs), plus a variety of mounting options including flange mount and shaft direct coupling, this gear motor can meet various assembling situations.
