Product Description:

Sanyo Denki is an automation machine production company committed to the design of state-of-the-art machines that guarantee optimal motion monitoring and control systems. This product is one of the hundreds of releases from the reputable company; It is a resistor unit that is connected to drive controllers to help in the efficient dissipation of the excess current that is fed into the controller during the deceleration or braking of connected motors. This has a compact enclosure designed according to the IP20 classification, it is an indoor device that requires additional protection from dust and other common industrial interference. The resistor design also makes installation particularly easy for operators. Although this resistor unit is intended to be used with drive controllers, it is not included in its delivery package. The resistor is an independent product that is ordered separately.

The MC256-R140/220 operates with a nominal voltage of between 120 to about 208 volts, this voltage is delivered at a frequency of about 60 hertz. This resistor can be operated in three modes: the Economy mode, filter mode and the conversion mode. At the economy mode, its power factor is about 0.7, this value is 0.85 and 0.95 for the filter mode and conversion mode. There is a battery integrated into this product; this battery is a maintenance-free sealed lead-acid battery.

The MC256-R140/220 resistor unit contains an air blower that cools its internal components via forced cooling, its operating temperature is also intended to be between 0 to about 40 degrees Celsius. The power output of the MC256-R140/220 is between 1 to 3 kilovolts ampere, and it also has a hybrid topology. Throughout the service life of this product, its installation height should not be allowed to exceed 1000 meters above sea level.
