Product Description:
The RS3A03A0AL0 is a single-axis servo amplifier built by Sanyo Denki for the R SANMOTION Servo Drives series. Serving as the intermediary between a motion controller and a servomotor, it converts command signals into sinusoidal pulse-width modulated output generated by an IGBT switching stage. This arrangement supplies precisely metered current so industrial machines can index, accelerate, and hold load torque with repeatable accuracy during automated production tasks. The amplifier supports applications that require controlled position, velocity, or torque from one connected servo axis.
The amplifier delivers a continuous output of 30 A, setting the maximum motor phase current under rated operating conditions. Control electronics are powered by a 200 to 240 VAC single-phase supply, while the main power stage accepts one-phase or three-phase input within that voltage range. Both inputs operate with commercial mains at 50/60 Hz. Stable operation is maintained with a line-frequency variation of ±3 Hz and an allowable voltage variation of +10% / -15%. The drive executes position loops through an analog or differential pulse interface, and it provides an open-collector NPN output for general-purpose signaling. Its power stage uses an IGBT-based sinusoidal pulse-width modulation control system to regulate the current supplied to the motor.
The unit operates within a temperature range of 0 to +55 °C, supporting installation in control enclosures that remain within this operating range. It tolerates a maximum relative humidity of 90% without condensation, so moisture must not collect on internal components. A compact mass of 0.8 kg reduces the load placed on panel structures and movable machine assemblies. The amplifier controls one servo axis and supports position, speed, and torque modes to accommodate different machine functions. Its single-axis configuration allows the connected motor to follow pulse commands, analog references, or control signals supplied by the host system. The shared input-voltage range for the control and main circuits also allows both sections to operate from common industrial power arrangements.
