Product Description:
Servo amplifiers are one of the most important components in an automation system. Especially for automation systems that utilize rotary and linear servomotors, servo amplifiers are integral components. Without an amplifier, a servo motor’s position, speed, and torque cannot be controlled precisely. Furthermore, since most servomotors do not include protection functions, they rely mostly on the servo amplifier to provide power and protection. Sanyo Denki is one of the most famous Japanese companies that specialize in the production of advanced servo amplifiers for industrial and automation systems. One of their most revolutionary product lines is the Sanmotion R series.
Under the Sanmotion R series, various types of servo amplifiers are available. The RS2A05A0KL4 is a subproduct under the Sanmotion R series, featuring an EtherCAT interface and a serial encoder. As an advanced servo amplifier, this device utilizes the serial line to measure the servomotor’s speed, position, and torque accurately. Since the encoded signal is sent through the serial line, serial encoders can measure the absolute position of the servomotor during operation. Because of its advanced encoder, the RS2A05A0KL4 is suitable for applications requiring a high degree of accuracy and precision, especially in positioning. This amplifier is suitable for rotary motors with a capacity of 50 amperes.
Although the RS2A05A0KL4 does not come with a built-in regenerative and brake resistor, an external regenerative resistor may be connected. Regenerative resistors are necessary for servomotors operating in high-frequency applications. Like other Sanmotion amplifiers by Sanyo Denki, the RS2A05A0KL4 draws power from a 200 V supply and supports a system frequency range of 50 to 60 Hz. To maximize the potential of this amplifier, the operating temperature must not exceed 55 degrees Celsius.
