The RS2A05A0AA0WA0 servo amplifier is made by Sanyo Denki and belongs to the R SANMOTION Servo Drives series. As a closed-loop power stage for industrial automation, it supplies controlled current to a matched AC servo motor so a motion controller can regulate position, speed, and torque. Motor feedback arrives from a serial encoder, supporting digital communication between the motor and amplifier. An output capacity of 50 A lets the drive handle rapid load changes without saturating the power stage. The control platform uses an IGBT PWM sinusoidal drive to reduce harmonic distortion at the motor terminals. A built-in dynamic brake and regeneration resistor dissipates surplus energy during deceleration and simplifies cabinet wiring. Speed can be modulated across a ratio of 1:5000 within the programmable operating range. For pulse-train control, the forward and reverse channel accepts input rates up to 5 million pulses per second. Quadrature input resolution is limited to 1.25 million pulses per second, giving the controller a lower maximum rate when phase-shifted pulse signals are used. Ground leakage is limited to 1.5 mA, supporting proper equipment bonding and protective grounding. The fully digital feedback architecture eliminates the need for a separate analog speed signal while retaining closed-loop control of motor motion.
