Product Description:
The RS2A03A2HA5W10 is a compact AC servo amplifier manufactured by Sanyo Denki for the R SANMOTION Servo Drives series. It receives velocity or position pulse commands from a motion controller and modulates three-phase current so a paired motor can accelerate, decelerate, or hold a load in position with high precision. By combining power conversion, current sensing, and overcurrent protection in an enclosure with a 60 mm × 160 mm footprint, the unit fits inside narrow control cabinets used for assembly robots, electronic component placement machines, and indexing tables where space and fast response are important.
The power stage can deliver 30 A of instantaneous phase current, and it uses an IGBT PWM sinusoidal drive to reduce torque ripple at the motor shaft. A single-phase or three-phase supply of AC 200 V feeds the converter, while the internal circuitry maintains stable operation up to a servo bandwidth of 600 Hz. Closed-loop speed control has a ratio of 1:5000, providing fine regulation from slow movements to full base speed. Command inputs accept differential pulse trains. The high-speed command interface supports up to 5 Mpulse/s, allowing accurate electronic gearing when connected to high-resolution motion controllers.
An integrated dynamic brake absorbs energy during deceleration, while the built-in regeneration circuit manages excess power through the DC link. For torque control, the drive accepts a bipolar reference of DC ±2.0 V ±15% and provides an actual-torque monitor output of 2.0 V ±10% at 100% load. Shaft-speed feedback is available as 2.0 V ±10% at 1,000 rpm, and a second pulse interface supports incremental encoders at rates up to 1.25 Mpulse/s. The amplifier has a mass of 1.0 kg, which limits the load placed on the cabinet mounting surface. Its enclosure depth is 168 mm, an important consideration when selecting a cabinet and maintaining adequate clearance for wiring, connectors, and ventilation around the installed unit.
