Product Description:
The RS2A01A2HA5 is one of Sanyo Denki’s most spectacular servo amplifiers under the advanced Sanmotion R series. With its flat construction and modular design, the RS2A01A2HA5 is ideal for rack or cabinet mounting. It functions mainly as a servo amplifier, processing digital signals to control a servomotor. For this unit, specifically, the servo motor must be of the rotary type. Rotary motors, as opposed to linear motors, generate torque as an output and involve a rotating shaft. The RS2A01A2HA5 can precisely monitor and control the rotation speed, torque, and position of the servomotor’s shaft during operation by implementing a feedback loop. The feedback signal for this device is established via the motor encoder.
The RS2A01A2HA5 has a rated size of 15 A and supports both serial and pulse encoders. Like other advanced servo amplifiers from the Sanmotion R series, this module incorporates a built-in regenerative resistance and DB resistance. These built-in resistances provide a way to dissipate excess energy while keeping the amplifier operational. The RS2A01A2HA5 also employs a safe-torque-off feature with a total number of six inputs and two outputs. The safe torque-off feature allows the servo motor to be temporarily halted without necessarily shutting down the power supply for the amplifier. With this feature, the motor can easily be repaired while keeping all other devices connected to the amplifier active.
The RS2A01A2HA5 comes with setup software, which allows the user to modify motor parameters during operation. A built-in operator can also be used within the device, while the 5-digit LED display can show relevant values. The RS2A01A2HA5 can be programmed using the setup software, which can be run on a local or industrial PC.
