By converting control references into regulated current for the attached motor, the drive links a machine controller to the mechanical load.
The drive can deliver a continuous output current of up to 15 A, which determines how much electromagnetic torque the connected motor can generate during acceleration and steady-state operation. Its 200 V AC input class is designed for three-phase power around 200 V, allowing a low-voltage supply bus to serve multiple axes. Command signals enter through an analog/pulse interface, providing a choice between analog voltage commands and high-speed step-and-direction pulse trains. Position feedback from the motor has a native resolution of 15 bits, so each electrical revolution is divided into 32,768 distinct counts for precise interpolation. When the machine architecture requires an auxiliary position loop, an external pulse encoder input accepts 2000 P/R line-driver signals. This pulse encoder channel can be cross-checked against the motor’s serial feedback channel for redundancy. The feedback path uses a request-based absolute position scheme, and the drive also recognizes a serial encoder on the motor side without requiring changes to the wiring.
