Product Description:
Sanyo Denki manufactures the RS1L03LEG01 servo drive within the R SANMOTION Servo Drives series. This compact amplifier supplies regulated three-phase power to a matched servo motor. It also exchanges motion commands and feedback with higher-level controllers, making it suitable for control cabinets that coordinate precise positioning, tension, or speed loops on automated machinery.
The drive’s amplifier capacity is rated at 30 A, allowing it to source continuous phase current appropriate for medium-frame servo motors. A CANopen communication port handles cyclic process data and diagnostics, and its default network speed is set to 500 kbps for direct connection to standard motion controllers without manual bit rate adjustment. Control circuitry is powered from a separate 200 VAC supply, isolating the logic circuits from the main bus and keeping low-level electronics stable during line disturbances. Protective earth leakage current is limited to 0.5 mA, keeping the unit within typical safety-ground thresholds for cabinet assemblies. An inrush limiter keeps the energization current to 24 A, reducing the initial current drawn when power is applied. The built-in regenerative resistor dissipates excess energy whenever the motor decelerates. Output signals use an NPN sink arrangement, simplifying connections to common PLC input modules.
The housing is designed for narrow cabinets, with a width of 60 mm, a depth of 135.5 mm, and a height of 168 mm. Its total mass is 1.1 kg, which limits the load placed on cabinet mounting structures. A dynamic brake circuit engages after 10 ms and can absorb up to 360 J during each stop, providing the capacity needed to halt vertical or high-inertia loads without external braking hardware. The rapid engagement time helps reduce uncontrolled motor movement after the brake command is issued. The CANopen network supports up to 127 addressable nodes, allowing a single fieldbus segment to coordinate an extensive multi-axis production line. This node capacity allows numerous drives and compatible control devices to communicate over the same network while preserving individual device addressing.
