Product Description:
The RS1J05AL is a servo amplifier supplied by Sanyo Denki for the R SANMOTION Servo Drives series. It conditions power and control signals so that a matched servomotor can execute precise position, torque, or velocity commands inside automated machines such as pick-and-place modules, cutters, or feeders. By converting line voltage into regulated three-phase drive waveforms and monitoring feedback in real time, the unit functions as the motion interface between a PLC or motion controller and the mechanical load.
The power section is rated for an output current of 50 A, allowing the drive to handle rapid acceleration without saturation. The control electronics draw a stabilized input of 24 VDC ±15% from an external source, separating the logic circuits from the high-energy stage. The main circuit accepts 200 to 230 VAC from either single-phase or three-phase supplies, while its permissible operating range extends from 170 to 253 VAC to tolerate line-voltage variations. With a small-signal bandwidth of 600 Hz, the frequency response supports high-gain control loops for firm load regulation. Closed-loop speed can be modulated across a range of 1:5000, allowing the same amplifier to control slow indexing and fast traverse functions. Leakage current is limited to 1.5 mA to reduce the risk of ground faults. The amplifier does not have an internal regenerative resistor, so external braking hardware is required when loads with high inertia need energy dissipation. The nominal power frequency is 50/60 Hz with a tolerance of ±3 Hz.
The amplifier weighs 2.3 kg and has a compact frame measuring 90 × 168 × 160 mm, simplifying cabinet layouts where installation depth is restricted. CANopen fieldbus wiring can extend up to 25 m at 1 Mbps, and as many as 127 nodes may share the same bus. The I/O block uses an NPN sink output structure for direct connection to compatible control circuits. The permitted storage temperature ranges from -20 to 65 °C. Its compact dimensions reduce the panel space required beside other control and power modules.
