Product Description:
The RS1A10AA servo amplifier is manufactured by Sanyo Denki as part of the R SANMOTION Servo Drives series. It serves as the power-conversion stage between an AC mains supply and a SANMOTION servomotor. The amplifier supplies regulated current and voltage so a motion controller can execute accurate position, speed, and torque commands within automated production equipment. The drive can deliver up to 100 A of output current, allowing it to energize medium-to-large-frame servomotors during rapid acceleration and regenerative deceleration.
Closed-loop velocity regulation spans a ratio of 1:5000, which supports fine low-speed indexing and high-speed machining from the same axis. Command tracking is reinforced by a bandwidth of 600 Hz, allowing the current loops to respond quickly during dynamic contouring. The logic electronics receive power through a single-phase AC 200 to 230 V control input, while the motor windings are supplied through a separate three-phase AC 200 to 230 V main input. Both inputs operate at a utility frequency of 50/60 Hz ±3 Hz and within a supply range of 170 to 253 V. Under maximum loading, incoming current reaches 40 A on the control input and 18 A on the main input, providing the necessary values for selecting suitable fuses and conductors.
Thermal energy produced during braking is dissipated internally by a 90 W regeneration section that shunts excess energy through a factory-installed 10 Ω resistor. This arrangement removes the need for an external brake unit on most axes. Protective circuitry limits earth leakage to 3.0 mA. The enclosure weighs 5.2 kg, which supports installation in densely populated control panels while providing sufficient mass for heat spreading. A speed-monitor terminal outputs 2.0 V ±10% at 1,000 rpm, and a torque-monitor terminal supplies 2.0 V ±10% at 100% load, providing analog feedback for diagnostics. The rated storage temperature ranges from -20 °C to +65 °C, allowing the unpowered amplifier to be stored without auxiliary temperature control when the storage area remains within these limits.
