RS1A05AA is a servo amplifier for rotary motor control. It is designed by Sanyo Denki and is part of its Sanmotion R product line. The amplifier and the motor is controls are designed for use with industrial equipment. Sanyo recommends providing at least 50 millimeters space above and below the mounted amplifier. This is necessary for ensuring airflow for heat dissipation. In addition, 10 millimeters space should be provided on either side of the unit. Sanyo recommends always maintain ambient temperature between 55 degrees Celsius, and preferable below 40 degrees Celsius. Mounting of the amplifier is permitted in the vertical orientation. Input voltage rating of the amplifier is 200 Volts AC and the current rating is 50 Amps. It supports wire saving incremental encoder.
Via parameter configuration, the amplifier can be configured for position control, speed control, or torque control. The amplifier is designed for IGBT pulse width modulation control. For storage the temperature range is from -20 to 65 degrees Celsius. Relative humidity in the operating and storage environments must be kept below 90%. Weight of the RS1A05AA amplifier is approximately 2.2 kilograms. Several protection functions are supported on the RS1A05AA, including parameter error, battery error, over speed, speed control error, control power supply error, and amplifier overheating. To monitor amplifier operation, a 5-digit LED display is provided on the front of the unit. PC based setup software can be used for amplifier configuration. The PC with the setup software can connect to the amplifier via a connector on the front of side of the unit. Other connectors, including encoder, power, and I/O, are also located on the front panel. Professional installation and operation is recommended.
