Product Description:
The RS1A03AAWA servo amplifier is produced by Sanyo Denki for the R SANMOTION Servo Drives series. It conditions incoming line power, measures motor feedback, and generates pulse-width-modulated outputs so a connected servo motor can follow precise motion commands in assembly cells, pick-and-place gantries, or inspection stations. Integrating power conversion and control in a single-axis package reduces panel space and simplifies wiring in industrial automation. The amplifier regulates motor torque, speed, and position in response to commands from the machine controller.
The power stage is rated for an output current of 30 A, which is the continuous motor winding current the drive can deliver without derating. At power-up, the control circuit draws an inrush current of 40 A while the reservoir capacitors charge, and the main relay section experiences a separate inrush current of 18 A. Line-to-ground leakage is limited to 0.5 mA. A dynamic brake is built in, so mechanical energy can be dissipated internally during emergency stops. The integrated regeneration circuit absorbs kinetic energy returned by decelerating loads without requiring an external regeneration unit. The accepted input range extends from 170 VAC to 253 VAC, providing tolerance for utility voltage fluctuations. A speed monitor terminal supplies a 2.0 V ± 10% output so a PLC can record the motor’s actual velocity.
The housing weighs 1.0 kg, reducing the load placed on its mounting surface. Operation is permitted at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C, at humidity levels up to 90% RH without condensation, and at elevations up to 1,000 m. Rated shock resistance is 2 G, while vibration endurance is 0.5 G across the applicable frequency range. Torque feedback is supplied as a 2.0 V ± 10% signal, allowing the control system to monitor the applied motor load. The permitted temperature, humidity, altitude, shock, and vibration limits should be observed when the amplifier is installed inside an industrial control panel.
