Product Description:
The RRMA600 is a rack-style base unit manufactured by Sanyo Denki for the R SANMOTION Servo Drives series. It provides six plug-in bays for compatible SANMOTION amplifier modules, allowing power and field signals to pass through a shared backplane. Multiple drives can therefore operate from a common frame instead of requiring separate mounting hardware and individual power-distribution paths. The centralized arrangement reduces cabinet wiring and routes servo power through a single AC input connector.
The unit accepts either single-phase or three-phase power at AC 200 V, and its internal bus supports a combined motor load of up to 2,000 W. A forced-air channel with an airflow speed of 2 m/s passes across the open frame to keep installed amplifier modules within their operating temperature limits without external ducting. Each 15 A amplifier occupies one bay, while each 30 A amplifier requires two bays, so module selection must account for the available frame space. Board plates are secured to the backplane with M5 screws, and M4 unit-mount fasteners attach the carrier to the cabinet rail. The open-frame design keeps connector edges accessible for daisy-chained signal cables and other cabinet wiring. The assembly withstands shocks of up to 2 G during transport or rapid machine movement.
The frame weighs 1.33 kg, which limits the additional load placed on the cabinet structure. Installation is permitted at elevations up to 1,000 m, and the unit remains operational at ambient humidity levels up to 90% RH when condensation is absent. Protective earth continuity is provided through a D-type Class 3 grounding terminal, allowing the mounted amplifiers to use the frame’s common grounding path. The chassis tolerates continuous vibration of up to 0.5 G along any axis, supporting operation in industrial machinery exposed to routine mechanical movement.
