Product Description:
Sanyo Denki produced the R2GA04008DXH00M for the R SANMOTION Servo Drives series. The unit is a compact servo motor that converts drive-amplifier commands into precise shaft motion for pick-and-place modules, small robots, and indexing tables in industrial automation. Its design supports continuous operation in high-cycle applications where accurate, repeatable movement is required. The integrated encoder supplies position data to the drive amplifier, enabling tight control of shaft position, speed, and acceleration during automated motion sequences.
The motor delivers a rated output of 80 W, providing continuous mechanical power at the shaft. Its encoder resolution of 131,072 counts per revolution provides the controller with fine positional granularity for precise movement. The square mounting interface has a 40 mm flange that can be connected directly to miniature gearboxes and linear stages with a compatible mounting pattern. The motor has an enclosure rating of IP67, which protects internal components against dust ingress and temporary water immersion under the conditions associated with this rating. It can operate at an ambient relative humidity of 20 to 90% RH, provided that condensation does not form inside the motor.
The electrical insulation withstands 1,500 VAC for 1 minute, helping protect the motor against insulation breakdown during operation. Its insulation resistance is more than 10 MΩ at 500 VDC, limiting electrical leakage through the windings and insulation system. The motor uses permanent-magnet excitation, which reduces rotor inertia and eliminates the losses associated with a separate field winding. During storage, the motor remains within its permitted temperature range of -20 to +65 °C. A vibration rating of V15 supports installation in equipment exposed to moderate machine vibration. The absolute encoder is intended for incremental systems and provides serial position information as well as incremental pulse output to the connected drive.
