Product Description:
The PY2A030E0XXXPT0 servo amplifier is produced by Sanyo Denki for the PY Super BL Servo Amplifiers series. This standalone module converts command pulses and an AC mains supply into controlled three-phase power for a matched Super BL motor. In automated production cells, it closes the velocity and position loops, allowing machinery to accelerate, hold speed, and decelerate without mechanical contactors. By integrating internal pulse conditioning and power control, the amplifier supports applications that require rapid torque reversal and precise incremental moves.
The unit is engineered for a single-phase or three-phase input rated at 200 VAC, and it can deliver a continuous output of 30 A to the motor phases. A bandwidth of 400 Hz indicates the amplifier’s frequency response capability, supporting tight velocity loops across the available control range of 1:5000. The control-circuit inrush current is 40 A, which must be considered when selecting protective devices for the control supply. The pulse train interface accepts forward or reverse commands at rates up to 2 Mpps, allowing the amplifier to process high-frequency position commands without limiting the command pulse rate. Forced-air cooling removes heat from the power stage, while the built-in dynamic brake can halt the shaft within 10 ms when commanded.
When mains power is applied, the power section draws a main-circuit inrush current of 23 A, so appropriate inrush protection or slow-blow circuit protection is recommended. Regenerative energy produced during deceleration is absorbed until the internal capacity reaches 360 J, after which the amplifier issues an overvoltage alarm to protect the bus capacitors. The housing measures 168 mm high and 135 mm deep, providing a compact profile for panel installation. Its mass is 2.0 kg, which reduces the load placed on the mounting surface. The leakage current is 0.5 mA, limiting unintended current flow through the enclosure and grounding system.
