Product Description:
The PY2A015EXXXPT0 servo amplifier is manufactured by Sanyo Denki as part of the PY Super BL Servo Amplifiers series. It is an AC drive that interfaces with motion controllers, converts a 200-volt-class supply into precisely modulated motor current, and closes the feedback loop for velocity, torque, or position regulation. In automated equipment such as gantry loaders, labeling machines, or small transfer lines, the amplifier ensures synchronous motor response and suppresses following error during rapid sequence moves.
The input stage is rated for a 200 VAC mains supply and tolerates a control circuit inrush of 40 A, while the separate main circuit experiences 23 A at power-up. A built-in dynamic brake short-circuits the motor terminals to stop motion quickly when the enable signal is removed. Frequency response reaches 400 Hz, so the drive can track high-bandwidth command profiles without overshoot. Closed-loop speed can be adjusted across a ratio of 1:5000, and the velocity monitor jack delivers 0.5 V ±20% for diagnostics. Because no internal regenerative resistor is fitted, excess kinetic energy must be handled by an external brake module when cycle deceleration exceeds the rating. The amplifier supports velocity, torque, and position control modes, allowing direct migration between indexing and tension-control tasks.
The housing weighs only 1.5 kg, easing panel layouts that need high axis density. Continuous operation is permitted at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C and altitudes up to 1,000 m, with humidity tolerated up to 90% RH under noncondensing conditions. The frame endures shocks of 2 G and vibration up to 0.5 G without parameter drift, helping the unit withstand operation on mobile bases or press lines.
