Product Description:
The PY2A015A1 is a servo amplifier that can maintain the same performance standard of the PY product series with the added advantage of a smaller size. The downsizing of this product series makes it useful for a large number of customers who require the product in applications that require space saving. The amplifier complies with all important international standards, including the UL and CUL standards according to UL508C, the low voltage directive according to EN50178, and the EMC directive according to EN55011. Also, this amplifier is designed to be used in pollution level 1 or 2 environment. The power supply of this product should be from a reinforced insulation transformer conforming to the EN standard. The PY2A015A1 is not equipped with any fuse; customers are expected to provide it with a UL-approved fast-blown fuse. This fuse should be installed in the input section of the main circuit power supply.
The PY2A015A1 requires a AC voltage supply of about 200 volts, it also features a dynamic brake. The amplifier capacity of this product is determined to be about 15 amperes. There is no regenerative resistor built into this product; however, it features two RDY output interfaces.
The control power and the main circuit power of this product are separated; this separation allows the amplifier to cut off only the main circuit power during an emergency or when the alarm occurs. The PY2A015A1 should be connected to an external resistor, which is designed to help in the handling of regenerated energy generated during the deceleration of the motor. The integrated dynamic brake installed into this amplifier is activated as soon as the main circuit power supply is off; this brake is also operated anytime an alarm occurs in the amplifier.
