Product Description:
The PY0A300W4PW1A00 servo amplifier is produced by Sanyo Denki and belongs to the PY Super BL Servo Amplifiers series. It converts motion commands into regulated three-phase power for a matched brushless motor and returns status signals to the controller. In automated cells, this amplifier closes the drive loop so conveyors, pick-and-place heads, or indexing tables receive precise current and braking action.
At power-on, the control circuit briefly draws an inrush current of 40 A, while the main power stage experiences a separate inrush current of 30 A; cabinet fuses and contactors must be sized for these peaks. Once active, the amplifier maintains a speed-loop bandwidth of 400 Hz, allowing it to track rapid command changes. Within this loop, a velocity control ratio of 1:5000 lets the drive hold low creep speeds as accurately as full rated speed. Braking events are absorbed internally, and the dynamic brake can dissipate up to 14000 J before external resistors become necessary. The brake engages after a 42 ms software delay because no built-in regeneration resistor is fitted. The torque and velocity command inputs each have an impedance of 10 kΩ, so low-power PLC outputs are not overloaded.
The amplifier housing measures 100 mm in width, 250 mm in depth, and 287 mm in height, so it fits a single vertical slot within most electrical panels that are 300 mm deep. Six M6 mounting holes secure it to a subpanel, and the total installed mass is 16 kg, which makes the unit easier to handle during maintenance. Current feedback for the drive controller is delivered as a 2.0 V signal with a tolerance of ±20%, while velocity feedback uses a separate 2.0 V channel with a tolerance of ±10%. These monitor outputs simplify oscilloscope checks because they are ground-referenced and proportional to the real-time load. The separate feedback channels allow current and velocity behavior to be observed without interrupting normal drive operation.
