Product Description:
The PY0A150A0R62S01 is a servo amplifier produced by Sanyo Denki in the PY Super BL Servo Amplifiers series. It translates velocity, torque, or position commands into controlled three-phase current for a brushless servomotor. A built-in cooling fan and a tray-type power supply remove the need for separate auxiliary modules, while the compact housing simplifies placement next to PLCs or motion controllers. Within automated packaging lines, pick-and-place gantries, and other machinery, it delivers responsive drive power and integrated motor-holding capability.
High dynamic behavior is supported by a frequency bandwidth of 400 Hz, allowing tight velocity loops to track rapid setpoint changes. The velocity control range covers 1:5000, maintaining resolution from slow jogs to full rated speed. During power-up, the main circuit draws a peak inrush current of 30 A, and the control section can momentarily demand a peak current of 40 A; line components must therefore tolerate these surges. A shaft-holding brake engages after a delay of 24.0 ms once the enable signal is dropped. For supervisory feedback, the velocity monitor terminal supplies 2.0 V with a ±10% margin so external controllers can observe the actual motor speed in analog form.
Regenerative energy generated during deceleration is handled inside the amplifier, and the dynamic brake can absorb up to 2450 J before external dissipation is needed. Drive current can be observed through a diagnostic port that outputs 2.0 V ±20%, simplifying noninvasive maintenance checks. Thermal loads are removed by a built-in fan working with duct cooling, keeping semiconductor temperatures stable. The complete enclosure, including its tray power supply, weighs 8.5 kg, making it easy to mount in dense multi-axis cabinets.
