The PY0A015A1 is a compact inductive proximity sensor. It is best suited for precise object sensing within limited spaces. It senses by means of the non-contact technique for detecting metal targets from a working distance of 1.5 mm. It provides guaranteed performance in multiple detection cycles.

The sensor has an M8 housing size and brass body strength with nickel plating and is resistant to corrosion and mechanical wear. The unit contains normally open (NO) output mode, and thus it is activated when the target is present, thus simplifying signal logic in automation systems. The unit operates on 10 to 30 VDC supply voltage and does not consume more than 10 mA of operation current, contributing to energy conservation in systems. The sensor can give up to 100 mA of output current. It allows it to directly drive relays or PLC inputs. With a 1 kHz response time, it has the ability of fast detection cycles.
