The PMM-MD-23220-10 is a new-generation and reliable stepper motor driver designed by Sanyo Denki for its single-axis shaft motor design. This driver can be operated with motors that have an average dimension of 50, 56, 60, and 86 millimeters, respectively. It provides the motor with a controlled voltage and guarantees a low-vibration operation that is perfect for production and processing applications. The PMM-MD-23220-10 driver requires a mains input power of 24 volts, and its control power is also about 5 volts. For the getaway torque, the mains power provided by this driver is measured to be about 3 amperes. Under normal operating conditions, the PMM-MD-23220-10 driver supplies a rated current of 2 amperes per phase. The enclosure of this product is built from strong aluminum material; it is coated to protect it from deterioration often caused by direct contact with water and other corrosive substances.
The PMM-MD-23220-10 stepper motor driver can withstand ambient temperature as high as 50 degrees without any dangerous increase in its operating speed; its conservation ambient temperature also falls between -20 to about 70 degrees Celsius. During the operation of this driver, relative humidity should not be allowed to exceed 80 degrees; the driver should also be strictly protected from water condensation to prevent deterioration and electrical fault.
The PMM-MD-23220-10 features an automatic current down selection function; it also comes with DIP switches that can be used for resolution setting and pulse input mode selection. An external signal input is also available to turn off current that flows through the stepping motor connected to the driver.
