The PMDSA1S3P01, from Sanyo Denki in its PM Drivers family, is a high-speed PM driver that will offer accurate control and stable operation for stepper motors. Featuring a 0.44 N·m (62.31 oz·in) holding torque when energized in 2-phase, it offers stable output and consistent operation making it suitable for demanding motion control applications.
A 3 A/phase operation is provided with the PMDSA1S3P01 having 1.3 Ω/phase wiring resistance and 1.6 mH/phase inductance of windings for delivering the best current flow and electromagnetic response. Rotor inertia is 0.12 x10⁻⁴ kg·m² (0.66 oz·in²) and offers smooth rotation of the motor and quick acceleration. Light and small, this PM driver weighs 0.5 kg (1.10 lbs) with the alternate configuration weight at 0.65 kg (1.43 lbs). Designed to work with 50mm square (1.97 inch square) dimensioned 3-phase stepper motors, it has UL1430 AWG22 lead wires built-in for cross-compatibility with the majority of motion control systems. For convenient integration, the PMDSA1S3P01 is equipped with a photo coupler input for instant signal transfer with minimal interference. It also includes a VHR-3N connector and an SVH-21T-P1.1 terminal to ensure safe and secure electrical connections. The pulse interface is via DC power input, which maintains its high-speed control performance. Fueled by a DC24V power supply, the PMDSA1S3P01 is engineered to operate at high performance within the environment of -10°C to +50°C and with convenience of use under various conditions.
It has an insulation resistance of a minimum of 100 MΩ, which was confirmed by a DC500V megger, in order to give electrical stability and leakage protection.
