Product Description
Because it is a member of the PB SANMOTION Servo Motors family, the Sanyo Denki PBDM423-C20 servo motor provides a solution that is both efficient and small for the purpose of controlling motion with accuracy. This particular servo motor, which has a motor size of 42 millimeters square, is perfect for situations in which space is restricted but performance is of the utmost importance. It has a gear ratio of 1:20 and has a permitted torque of 1.47 N·m, which enables it to supply dependable power and control.
One of the factors that contributes to the motor's responsiveness and accuracy is its rotor inertia, which is measured at 0.056 × 10^-4 kg·m². Instead of delivering constant current in an open loop stepping system, the "SANMOTION Model No. PB" only delivers the appropriate current based on the operating condition of the load via proportional and integral control. This has resulted in a reduction in the amount of heating that the motor experiences. On the other hand, the traditional AC power supply input "SANMOTION Model No. PBDM423-C20 " had a high responsiveness to current; nevertheless, the current ripple that relied on the current control system (PWM control) was so large that it caused the motor to overheat due to the loss of iron.
This was a problem for multi-pole motors like the stepping motor. For the newly developed AC input "SANMOTION Model No. PBDM423-C20," a new control method was developed to reduce the current ripple without impairing the responsiveness. This made it possible to reduce the heating of the motor by a significant amount (an 80% reduction in comparison to the conventional product: in the case of a 42 mm square motor).
