Product Description:
The P60B18350HXAT4 is a brushless servo motor manufactured by Sanyo Denki for the P6 Super BL Servo Motors series. Designed for motion axes that require repeatable positioning, it combines brushless motor technology with an absolute encoder so a controller can track the rotor angle at power-up and make precise corrections. In automated presses, pick-and-place stations, and conveyor drives, the motor provides continuous torque for moving medium-inertia loads. Its housing fits the 180 mm frame segment commonly used in heavy-duty machinery.
The motor has a rated mechanical output of 3.5 kW at a nominal speed of 2,000 rpm. At this operating point, it produces a rated torque of 17.0 N·m while drawing a phase current of 26.4 Arms. The windings have a resistance of 0.048 Ω and an electrical time constant of 19 ms, allowing current to settle quickly while supporting predictable thermal behavior. A torque constant of 0.75 N·m/Arms relates the commanded current to the developed torque. Continuous stall limits are 22.0 N·m and 32.3 Arms, while the rated power rate is 83 kW/s. The IP67 enclosure protects internal components against dust and temporary immersion. The brushless design has a voltage constant of 26.0 mV/rpm, producing back electromotive force compatible with standard P6 drives.
During dynamic operation, the rotor can withstand a maximum stall torque of 50.0 N·m and a surge current of 80.2 Arms. The maximum speed is limited to 3,000 rpm to protect the mechanical assembly during high-speed operation. Position feedback provides 2,048 divisions and uses the ABS-E encoder model associated with this series. The square flange measures 180 mm, and the motor is intended for installation in frames measuring 76 mm or larger. The motor has no holding brake, so an external mechanism or drive-applied torque must retain static loads when the axis is stopped. Absolute position feedback remains available after power-up, allowing the controller to determine rotor position without a separate homing movement.
