The absolute sensor retains position information during power interruptions, eliminating the need to perform a homing sequence after power is restored. A built-in supercapacitor supports this power-off position retention without requiring an external battery. The motor also includes a factory-installed holding brake that secures the shaft when brake power is removed. A dedicated 90 V brake supply releases the mechanical clamp during normal operation so the shaft can rotate freely.
