Product Description:
The P50B08100VCL61 is a brushless servo motor produced by Sanyo Denki and grouped within the P5 Super BL Servo Motors series. Designed for closed-loop motion axes, the unit converts electrical energy into controlled torque and speed for positioning tables, pick-and-place heads, and other industrial automation loads. A factory-installed holding brake keeps the shaft locked when power is removed, improving safety on vertical or indexing mechanisms.
The motor delivers continuous shaft power of 1000 W while turning at a nominal speed of 3000 rpm, producing a rated torque of 3.185 N·m. The design permits a maximum speed of 4500 rpm for processes that demand higher surface velocities. During prolonged stall conditions, the motor provides a continuous stall torque of 3.92 N·m. Short-duty peaks are handled at up to 11.76 N·m before the drive must reduce current. These torque levels correspond to 6.7 Arms of rated armature current and 25.7 Arms during acceleration. A torque constant of 0.553 N·m/Arms links commanded current to output torque, allowing predictable control tuning. The frame mounts to an 80 or 86 mm square flange, making it compatible with medium-size gearheads and machine plates.
The motor has a phase resistance of 0.41 Ω and a winding inductance associated with an electrical time constant of 5.9 ms. Together with the mechanical time constant of 1.1 ms, these values indicate that the motor can track rapid command changes. The built-in brake operates from a control line rated at 24 V, eliminating the need for a separate actuator. The housing has an ingress protection rating of IP55, helping prevent contaminants from reaching internal components. Insulation resistance remains at least 10 MΩ when tested at 500 VDC, and the power rate of 38.3 kW/s indicates the motor’s ability to accelerate loads quickly without excessive thermal stress.
