The P50B08100HXS23 servo motor is produced by Sanyo Denki and belongs to the P5 Super BL Servo Motors series. This brushless unit is intended for precise positioning and speed regulation in automated machinery such as pick-and-place axes and indexing tables. By integrating a feedback encoder with a sealed housing, the motor delivers repeatable torque while withstanding conditions commonly found in industrial automation cells. Its compact design allows it to serve motion axes where accurate control and dependable operation are required.
Rated mechanical output reaches 1000 W, and the windings are designed for a 200 VAC supply, allowing the motor to operate with standard servo drives in 200-volt control panels. A peak shaft speed of 3000 rpm extends the usable speed range for conveyors and rotary actuators without requiring gear reduction. The excitation system uses a permanent-magnet rotor, reducing rotor inertia and improving step response compared with wound-field designs. A low-wire-count incremental encoder provides 2000 P/R of position data, allowing tight control-loop gains while limiting cabling requirements. The motor uses a flange-mounting interface with selectable 80 or 86 mm pilot dimensions for compatibility with different machine frames. An IP55 enclosure, a shaft seal, and a fully enclosed self-cooling design help keep dust and water away from the stator. Because the motor uses a brushless design, it does not require routine commutator maintenance. The motor does not include a holding brake, so an external restraint is required when a vertical axis must remain stationary after power is removed. Heat generated during operation is dissipated through the housing without an external cooling fan.
