Product Description:
Sanyo Denki produced the P50B08100HCV3E servo motor as part of the P5 Super BL Servo Motors series. This brushless unit serves as a rotary actuator in automated machinery, converting drive commands into controlled torque and speed. It can operate positioning tables, pick-and-place heads, packaging axes, compact conveyors, and indexing fixtures in industrial plants. A compatible servo amplifier regulates the motor’s motion by comparing command signals with position data returned by the feedback system.
The motor delivers continuous mechanical power of 1000 W, making it suitable for medium-duty loads that require repeatable motion. Its maximum shaft speed is 3000 rpm, providing the velocity range needed for rapid positioning profiles while keeping rotational stress within the motor’s operating limits. The motor uses brushless motor technology, which eliminates brush wear and reduces routine maintenance associated with brushed designs. The spring-applied brake operates from a dedicated 24 V supply; applying power releases the brake during normal operation, while removing power allows it to clamp the shaft. Rotor position feedback is provided by an Absolute Sensor (ABS-R II) that reports multi-turn position to the servo amplifier, allowing closed-loop control without a homing cycle after each startup.
The feedback assembly contains a built-in supercapacitor that stores energy for safe-stop and position-retention functions without requiring periodic battery replacement. An integrated holding brake supports vertical or gravity-loaded axes by preventing unintended shaft movement when the drive is disabled. The square mounting face measures 80 or 86 mm, providing two flange options for alignment with compatible machine plates and gearbox interfaces. The mounting arrangement also supports direct coupling where a compact motor footprint is needed around adjacent equipment. Power, feedback, and brake connections should be routed to avoid excessive cable strain and to preserve reliable signal transmission during repeated machine cycles.
